A stage wing LED budget must price two usable screen positions, not simply a combined number of square meters. With 500 × 500 mm rental cabinets, left and right wings may need separate supports, cable routes, power connections and commissioning even when their total image area is small.

This guide is for AV integrators comparing purchase proposals for compact stages in the Middle East. It offers a split-location cost schedule and a cabinet-count example. It provides no market quotation, country-specific duty rate or assumed local service commitment.

Cost the pair before selecting a supplier

  • Draw each wing separately and confirm audience sightlines.
  • Separate shared equipment from duplicated location costs.
  • Price the agreed left/right content and signal behavior.
  • Request packed delivery scope, compatible spares and written support terms.

1. Define the stage wing LED budget layout

Start the stage wing LED budget with a drawing identifying the left and right display openings, finished height, audience positions, speaker locations, access aisles and equipment routes. A symmetrical front view does not guarantee identical access behind the screens. State whether the pair carries decorative graphics, readable text or live camera images.

The EA500C6 rental display overview describes a 500 × 500 mm cabinet family. Use its product information to discuss the required variant, connection design and available configuration. Request the exact offered pitch and indoor or outdoor specification, rather than treating all panels in the family as electrically or environmentally identical.

The most economical stage wing LED budget may change when the nearest viewer needs smaller text or the program needs camera-compatible operation. Review representative content with the proposed pitch and operating settings. Keep any camera evaluation separate from a claim that one refresh-rate number guarantees every shooting condition.

2. Calculate each wing on the cabinet grid

Consider an illustrative pair of flat displays, each 1 m wide by 2 m high (3.3 × 6.6 ft). At 0.5 × 0.5 m per cabinet, each wing uses two columns and four rows: eight cabinets. The pair needs 16 active cabinets and totals 4 m² (about 43 ft²). Spares are additional, and the calculation is not a support or electrical design.

Widening each wing to 1.5 m (4.9 ft) adds one cabinet column at each location. Each wing then needs 12 cabinets, giving 24 active cabinets and 6 m² (about 65 ft²) for the pair. This single layout revision adds eight cabinets, but it does not prove that every other cost rises by the same percentage.

Keep the stage wing LED budget linked to a drawing revision. Identify blank gaps and scenery separately; do not count them as active display area. If available clearance cannot fit the cabinet grid, revise the opening or selected system before ordering instead of assuming panels can be cut to fill the remaining space.

3. Separate shared and duplicated costs

For each proposal, mark which items serve the whole pair and which are required at both locations. The table below is a procurement worksheet, not a mandatory equipment design. Ask bidders to show quantities, unit prices, inclusion status and responsibility against the agreed layout.

Split-location cost schedule for a comparable two-wing proposal
Budget item Shared or per location? Clarification to request
Active cabinets and spares Count left, right and reserve stock separately Exact revision, pitch, batch and replacement references
Support and finishing Usually location-specific; confirm design Approved support parts, base footprint, trim and local engineering scope
Processing and distribution May be shared if the designed system supports it Canvas arrangement, outputs, signal path and defined recovery behavior
Signal and power routes Measure both routes independently Cable lengths, protection, distribution and qualified local connection work
Cases, freight and handling Use the actual packed consignment Case count, gross dimensions, weights and delivery endpoint
Commissioning and support Acceptance covers both complete locations Alignment, content mapping, training, service access and exclusions

Do not halve the price of a larger central backdrop to estimate two separated wings. A compact pair can retain fixed costs for processing, two supports, two cable routes and site attendance. Conversely, do not automatically charge for two processors if a documented shared configuration meets the project’s requirements.

Before approving the stage wing LED budget, identify any customer-supplied equipment by model and condition. Confirm compatibility and available capacity. “Use existing equipment” is an unresolved scope item until the integrator has checked the complete arrangement.

4. Specify the content and signal handoff

Decide whether both wings show identical content, independent content or different portions of one canvas. Ask for a pixel map and an input/output schedule with each proposal. Two separated surfaces may require different routing and commissioning even when the visible content is mirrored.

The company video below introduces the EA500C6 cabinet and its physical features. Use it to frame questions about alignment, connection and access during a representative build. The demonstration does not establish a two-wing signal design, safe support configuration, installation duration or project savings.

Watch the original EA500C6 introduction.

Include content mapping, source changes, shutdown and an agreed response to a lost feed in acceptance. State who supplies graphics and who checks text at the intended viewing positions. The stage LED screen overview supplies application context; the final routing and power plan belong to the project design.

5. Compare delivery and local completion

A stage wing LED budget should name the country, city, venue and delivery point. “Middle East delivery” is too broad to compare destination charges, access conditions or required documentation. Ask the relevant logistics and local professional advisers to confirm the applicable import, electrical and venue requirements for the actual destination.

Compare equipment, packing, freight and destination charges on the same agreed delivery boundary. Then add local support, cable installation, access equipment, commissioning and training where excluded. Keep taxes, customs treatment and temporary equipment movements subject to destination-specific advice; no regional flat rate is assumed.

Request written warranty scope, fault-report evidence, compatible spare availability and the route for remote or local assistance. Confirm any travel or return-freight responsibility. Indoor/outdoor product labels and a factory demonstration do not establish suitability for every heat, dust, moisture or exposure condition at the venue.

Integrator purchasing questions

Must the two wings have the same physical size?

No. Different sizes can be designed, but state the geometry and intended content for each. Recalculate cabinet quantities, pixel mapping and support scope independently rather than hiding the difference inside a combined area.

Can a spare cabinet be shared between both wings?

Potentially, if the supplied configurations are compatible and the approved replacement procedure covers both. Agree stock location, access, configuration recovery and spare identification; a shared spare does not create a redundant live signal path.

Send a two-wing quotation brief

Send EagerLED the destination country and city, dimensions of each wing, audience distances, content examples, required left/right behavior, venue exposure, mounting method, cable routes, existing equipment and event date. Request a stage wing LED budget that identifies shared items, location-specific costs, packed delivery scope and local completion responsibilities.
