3. How to Do the Settings for Linsn Software? Step by Step Instruction

Before updating LEDStudio or LEDSet

  1. Back up your RCG/CON configuration, screen mapping and playback project. Keep the current installer for recovery.
  2. Check the release notes and confirm compatibility with your controller and Windows version. Treat controller firmware updates as a separate, model-specific procedure.
  3. Test the software during a maintenance window, then check screen mapping, color, brightness and playback before returning the display to service.

As checked on September 7, 2026, the official software list provides LEDStudio 12.66.0407.0 and LEDSet 4.0.2026.0807. The separate LEDStudio 12.65.2021.0814_L build remains officially recommended for L-series content playback. Choose by controller compatibility, not the version number alone.

LEDStudio is used for content playback. LEDSet is used to configure an LED screen, including generating, sending and saving RCG and CON configuration files. These files describe the display setup; they are not universal firmware files.

The LEDStudio and LEDSet downloads on this page are Windows installers. Check the release notes or ask your supplier to confirm support for your Windows version and controller. Screen Sprite is an Android application. For macOS, ask Linsn or your supplier for a supported solution before choosing an installer.

Check the official release notes and request drivers or firmware for your exact controller or receiving-card model and hardware revision from Linsn or your supplier. Some drivers are bundled with LEDSet. Installing PC software and updating card firmware are separate tasks. Before a firmware update, back up the configuration, keep power and data connections stable, and use only the package specified for that hardware.

These are the manual versions currently listed in the official manual section. Their version numbers are retained here because they do not document every feature of LEDStudio 12.66 or LEDSet 4.0. Use the relevant release notes alongside the manual.

Some downloads link directly to the Linsn server, while others are hosted by EagerLED. Check the software name, version and controller compatibility before installing. Use the official release notes for the selected version.

Confirm power, the intended USB or network connection and the exact controller model. Check Windows device recognition and the driver required by that controller, then verify the software communication settings against its manual. Back up the current configuration before changing settings. Avoid resetting card parameters or deleting Windows registry entries as a first troubleshooting step.
