5. FAQs About Mooncell

  • Reasons: The resolution of the sending card doesn’t match the graphics card resolution./The LED screen has not been calibrated.
  • Troubleshooting methods: Check whether the resolution of the sending card matches the graphics card resolution./Disable the pixel-to-pixel calibration function.
  • Remove peripheral electromagnetic interference devices and replace the power cord with a high-quality one.
  • Check whether the positive and negative power cord connectors are touching, and clean the internal metal foreign objects.
  • Check whether the serial port cable is a straight-through cable (not a crossover cable), and make sure that both ends are firmly connected.
  • Verify whether the controller model, serial port number and transmission rate in the software match the hardware, and reconfigure the parameters.
  • Detect whether the jumper cap is loose or in the wrong direction, reset the jumper if necessary.
  • Use a multimeter to detect whether the computer or controller serial port is damaged and replace the faulty hardware.
  • Troubleshoot the connection between the HUB distribution board and the controller, re-plug the wires or replace the damaged parts.
  • Examine whether the driver circuit (e.g. 74HC245, 138 chip) has false welding or short circuit, re-solder or replace the chip.
  • Detect the signal transmission path through the test card, repair the broken line or replace the faulty unit board.
  • Calibrate the gray level setting in the software (256 levels recommended) to ensure natural color transition.
  • Check the stability of the power supply voltage and use a low-voltage, high-current power supply to avoid insufficient power supply.

Possible causes:

  1. The firmware version on the receiving cards is inconsistent.
  2. Video feed asynchronously from the front-end processor to various sending cards.
  3. There are different hardware versions for receiving cards.

Troubleshooting:

  1. Upgrade all receiving cards’ firmware to the same version.
  2. Ask the processor manufacturer for help in debugging the asynchronous video.
  3. Replace the cards with the same version.
